《The Blue Balloon》
The day after my birthday party
Kipper found a soggy blue balloon in the garden.
It was odd because the balloons at my party were red and white.
I blew it up.
生日派对的第二天
Kipper在花园里找到一只湿漉漉的蓝色气球
这很奇怪
因为派对上的气球都是红色和白色的
我把它吹了起来
At first I thought it was just an ordinary balloon.
But now I am not so sure.
It is shiny and squeaky and you can make rude noises with it.
And if you give it a rub you can stick it on the ceiling.
Just like an ordinary balloon.
最开始我以为它只是一只普通的气球
但是我现在并不确定它是不是
这只气球表面富有光泽吱吱作响
你可以用它发出噪音
如果你擦一下它 它就可以粘在天花板上
就跟一般的气球一样
But there is something odd about my balloon.
It doesn’t matter how much you blow it up,
it just goes on getting bigger...
但是关于这个气球还有一件怪事
就是不管吹多少气 它都不会爆
它只会越来越大...
And bigger until...
越来越大...
You see it never ever bursts. Never ever.
I have squeezed it...
Squashed it...
你绝对见不到它爆炸
永远不会呀
我尝试过捏它...挤它...
...and whacked it with a stick.
...用棍子劈它
I have kicked it...
run it over...
...and stretched it!
我也尝试过踢它...
骑车碾压它...
...甚至扯它!
And Kipper has attacked it.
But it is Indestructible.
I think that my balloon has Strange and Wonderful Powers!
Kipper也试着咬它
但是它就是坚不可摧
我觉得我的气球可能有奇特的超能力！
The other day it disappeared completely...
...and when it came back it was square!
有一天它突然消失得无影无踪...
...回来的时候它却变成了方形！
And this morning.
While I was taking it for a walk...
今天早晨 我带它出去散步时...
...it decided to take me for a fly!
And finally...
...它决定带我到天上去玩！
最后...
It took me up...
and up...
and up...
Oops!
And finally...
...down
一点点把我拉上去...
哦哦哦！
又下来了
It was quite a trip,
but we were back in time for tea.
真是一次有趣的旅行
还好我们及时赶回来喝下午茶了
So if you find a soggy old balloon...
...whatever you do don’t throw it away.
所以假如你发现了一只湿漉漉的旧气球...
...无论如何都不要把它扔了
Especially if it's a blue one.
You never know what it will do next.
尤其是蓝色的气球
你可不知道它接下来会给你什么惊喜
